Sebastian Umiński has been appointed global marketing director of Brand New Galaxy, part of Stagwell (STGW), a new role within the BNG Business Services structure. He’s taking the lead in communication (internal and external), marketing of BNG products and services, and employer branding. While supporting all BNG offices globally, he’ll stay connected to Stagwell Brand & Communication teams.
Sebastian is an experienced multi-channel marketer and results-driven leader of international teams with a high level of business creativity focused on transformational leadership. He joined BNG in 2021 as P&G client partner and head of e-merchandising at Pathfinder23. His 17-year career in digital marketing was divided between agencies and client organisations, resulting in a strong track record in supporting big international companies in their business transformation.
Sebastian spent over ten years in digital & advertising agencies as business director in charge of business development and innovations, including McCann Erickson, Saatchi & Saatchi Interactive Solutions, and Ogilvy. As a marketer on the client’s side, he managed multi-million dollar budgets, built and led highly effective international teams and operated in complex matrix organisations, centralising communication, e-commerce and media, developing regional toolkits and central agency models. He was brand manager at Novartis, built regional organisation at 3M as CEEMEA Demand generation manager and EMEA media manager, ran marketing and business development at HomeDoctor startup as chief growth officer.
He stays active in digital marketing as an educator, public speaker, lecturer, and columnist. SWPS University made him a director of the very first Social Media Marketing studies in 2014. He stays a jury member of advertising contests incl. IAB Mixx Awards, Innovation A.D,. and organisational committees of IAB and SAR events. He is a columnist at Marketer+ and E-Commerce in Practice magazines.
